Why use UoB Property Search?

Verified listings

Only landlords and agents who are members of the University of Birmingham Letting Membership Scheme can advertise on UoB Property Search. This means you can rent with them with confidence, knowing that they’re part of our recognised and trusted community.

Easy access

You can search property listings, connect with landlords, and find potential housemates all on one platform, streamlining your search for accommodation and saving you precious time. Even better, it’s free to use, because nobody wants additional fees on top of their rent.

Connect with others

Not sure who to live with? Find potential housemates through the platform by chatting to others also looking for somewhere to live. You can also use the platform’s message boards to advertise available rooms in your student home throughout the year.

FAQs

What is the Lettings Membership Scheme (LMS), and why should I care about it?

The LMS recognises local landlords and letting agents who are positive members of the Brum lettings community. As a member of the scheme, every landlord/agent must adhere to a strict code of conduct and supply all the required legal documents to prove that they’re providing the best homes for our students.

How do I know if a landlord or agent is part of the LMS?

Only LMS members can advertise their property on UoB Property Search, so you can rest assured that every listing on the platform has the thumbs-up from us. For extra peace of mind, you can view the full list of LMS members online.
